- XAMIC 500 Tablet is used to treat and prevent abnormal or excessive bleeding by acting as an anti-fibrinolytic agent.
- It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots, reducing or stopping bleeding episodes in various conditions such as heavy menstrual periods (menorrhagia), nosebleeds (epistaxis), after oral, prostate, bladder surgeries, and following dental extraction in hemophiliacs.
- Contains the active ingredient tranexamic acid, which blocks the action of plasmin, an enzyme responsible for dissolving clots.
- Should be taken as prescribed by a physician; the dose and duration are individualized.
