It allows finishing and polishing to be performed with a single instrument by changing the contact pressure applied to the restoration. A pressure of approximately 1.0 Newton with intermittent water is recommended for finishing. For polishing, a lower pressure of approximately 0.3 Newton can be used with the same instrument. This simple pressure-based approach allows the clinician to control the degree of smoothness achieved on the restoration surface. Shofu Onegloss Set CA polishers are made with a high concentration of aluminium oxide incorporated into a silicone binder for effective abrasive performance. The system helps save time by eliminating the need to change instruments between finishing and polishing stages. Shofu Onegloss Set CA can be supplied with sturdy plastic mandrels without a metal hub, while the complete kit also includes stainless steel CA mandrels without a metal hub.
