Shofu HY-Bond Resiglass 1-1 Set

Shofu HY-Bond Resiglass is a radiopaque Resin Modified Glass Ionomer (RMGI) cement formulated for the luting of various indirect restorations and orthodontic appliances. It is suitable for metal-ceramic, full metal, and metal-free crowns and bridges, as well as inlays and onlays. The cement can also be used for cementation of metal and ceramic orthodontic brackets and bands. Shofu HY-Bond Resiglass chemically bonds to tooth structure to support higher bonding strength and reliable retention. Its formulation provides fluoride release and biocompatibility for professional restorative and orthodontic applications. With a film thickness of just 12 μm, the cement supports accurate seating of indirect restorations. Shofu HY-Bond Resiglass is formulated with minimum odour and is designed to provide virtually no postoperative sensitivity during appropriate clinical use. Improved fracture toughness and low solubility contribute to the intraoral durability of cemented restorations. The cement also provides an excellent marginal seal, helping reduce microleakage at the restoration interface. Shofu HY-Bond Resiglass exhibits high translucency, making it suitable for aesthetic restoration cases where appearance is an important consideration. Its long working time allows convenient manipulation during cementation, while the net setting time is approximately 4 minutes. The cement changes from light pink to colourless upon setting, providing a useful visual indication during application and cleanup. Shofu HY-Bond Resiglass is easy to manipulate, and excess cement can be removed conveniently after restoration seating. Its radiopaque nature also supports post-operative radiographic assessment of the cemented restoration. The material is indicated for cementation of metal-based, resin-based, and ceramic-based inlays, crowns, and bridges. It can additionally be used for orthodontic metal and ceramic brackets and bands.
