Shofu Hy-Bond Glasionomer CX-Smart Luting Cement Set is a dual-cure glass ionomer cement designed for permanent cementation of dental restorations. It comes as a powder and liquid that are mixed to form a smooth paste, offering the flexibility of both light and self-curing. This cement is suitable for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, posts, and orthodontic metal brackets and bands. Its powder contains fluoroaluminosilicate glass, HY agent, and pigments, while the liquid is composed of acrylic acid tricarboxylic acid co-polymer, tartaric acid, and water. The cement has a short mixing time of 30 seconds and a working time of 2 minutes, with a setting time of 2 minutes 30 seconds at body temperature. Once set to a rubbery consistency, excess cement can be removed 1 minute 30 seconds after seating the restoration. It should be stored at room temperature, away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. This versatile cement ensures reliable adhesion and long-lasting results in a variety of dental procedures.
