Risdone Plus Tablet is a combination medicine containing risperidone (an atypical antipsychotic) and trihexyphenidyl (an anticholinergic).
It is used for the treatment of schizophrenia—a mental illness characterized by disturbed thinking, emotions, and behavior—as well as acute manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
Risperidone helps by balancing dopamine and serotonin in the brain to improve mood, perception, and behavior.
Trihexyphenidyl controls abnormal movements and corrects chemical imbalances that can result from antipsychotic therapy.
Available as oral tablets, typically prescribed once or twice a day per a physician’s instructions.
