- Mitsu AB™ is a mid-term absorbable, braided, synthetic surgical suture made of poly(glycolide-co-l-lactide) (90/10), coated with Triclosan, an antibacterial agent.
- Designed to minimize the risk of surgical site infections by inhibiting colonization of pathogens.
- Retains 75% knot tensile strength for up to 14 days, 50% for up to 21 days, and is completely absorbed between 56 to 70 days.
- Complies with USP (United States Pharmacopeia) and EP (European Pharmacopoeia) standards for absorbable sutures.
- Available in various suture sizes, both undyed and dyed violet, with standard stainless-steel needles.
- Designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation in suitable surgery types (other than ophthalmic).
