- Meril Filaprop is a synthetic, non-absorbable, monofilament surgical suture composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin.
- This suture is pigmented blue for enhanced visibility during surgery and is available in a variety of sizes and with different needles.
- It is sterile, highly resistant to chemical and enzymatic attack, and intended for use in tissue approximation and ligation where extended suture support is required.
- FILAPROP™ sutures elicit minimal acute inflammatory reaction, followed by gradual encapsulation with fibrous connective tissue.
- It is packaged in less memory trays (LMT) and long folders to minimize memory effect and ensure optimal handling and knot security.
