- It consists of a synthetic monofilament, providing smooth passage through tissue and minimal tissue reaction.
- Designed for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation where short-term wound support is required.
- Preferred for scarless subcuticular closure due to its excellent handling and knot security.
- Absorbs completely by hydrolysis within 90 to 120 days, retaining 60–80% of initial tensile strength for up to 7 days.
- Supplied in a sterile pack of 12 sutures.
