- Contraindicated in most viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (like herpes simplex, varicella).
- Unsafe in pregnancy; consult physician before use.
- Consult doctor before use if breastfeeding (lactating mothers) - generally considered safe.
- May impair vision temporarily; avoid driving until vision clears.
- Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes to reinsert.
