- IVABRAD 5 TABLETS contain ivabradine hydrochloride, equivalent to 5 mg of ivabradine, and are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris and chronic heart failure.
- This medication is used in adults with normal sinus rhythm, particularly those who cannot tolerate or have contraindications for beta-blockers, or in combination when beta-blockers are insufficient.
- IVABRAD 5 TABLETS are also used for pediatric patients (≥6 months) for heart failure due to dilated cardiomyopathy.
- Tablets are pale orange, capsule shaped, biconvex, and film-coated.
- This medicine acts by selectively inhibiting the 'funny' current (If) in the sinoatrial node, resulting in a dose-dependent lowering of heart rate.
