- FERINJECT 500MG 10ML is an intravenous iron preparation containing ferric carboxymaltose, used for the treatment of iron deficiency when oral iron is ineffective or unsuitable.
- Each 10 mL vial contains ferric carboxymaltose corresponding to 500 mg elemental iron, supplied as a sterile, preservative-free, dark brown aqueous solution.
- Primarily indicated for adults and adolescents (aged 14+) for rapid iron replenishment based on clinical need and laboratory confirmation of iron deficiency conditions.
- The medicine should be administered in a setting where trained staff and resuscitation facilities are available, due to risk of severe hypersensitivity (including anaphylactic reactions).
- Patients must be observed for at least 30 minutes after each administration.
