- Droxyl Clav 500 Tablet is a combination antibiotic containing Cefadroxil and Clavulanic acid, used to treat a variety of bacterial infections.
- It is effective in treating infections of the urinary tract, skin, chest (respiratory tract), and throat (such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia), ear, nose and other respiratory tissues.
- Belongs to the groups: Cephalosporins (Cefadroxil) and Beta-lactamase Inhibitors (Clavulanic acid).
- Works by killing and preventing the growth of infection-causing bacteria, while Clavulanic acid reduces bacterial resistance to the antibiotic.
- Should be used with caution in individuals with liver, kidney, gastrointestinal disease, elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children over six years.
