- AZULIX 3 MF Tablet is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Glimepiride (3mg) and Metformin (500mg/850mg), used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are inadequate.
- Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin and enhances the body's insulin efficiency. Metformin lowers blood glucose by suppressing hepatic glucose production and improving peripheral insulin sensitivity.
- It is prescribed to adults only and must be taken as directed by a healthcare professional, usually with meals, to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal upset.
- AZULIX 3 MF should not be used in type 1 diabetes, during diabetic ketoacidosis, or in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment.
